[yjsgfa name="fa fa-question-circle"] What is the year level of this resource?

Design and Technology in Today’s World: A First Look introduces primary students from Year 3 to Year 6 to the building blocks of Design and Technology (D&T). These building blocks are presented as eight units of study supported by eight activity sheets.

[yjsgfa name="fa fa-question-circle"] What is the range of activities?

The activity sheets contain a range of activities: individual research, small-group task(s) and/or classroom discussion. The classroom discussion activities are an opportunity to broaden the scope of the topic. They also provide a platform to address students’ related interests as well as introducing any ‘news-of-the-day’ topics regarding design and technology. Teachers may adjust the topics and the scope of activities to suit different year levels and class needs.

Classroom discussion is also a chance for students to learn more about D&T from each other. It is an opportunity for every student to raise points of interest that they wish to discuss.
